The Different Types Of Inverters Available In The Market

An inverter is an apparatus that runs on electricity. Unlike an alternator which changes the mechanical energy into alternating current, an inverter’s job is to change the direct current (DC) into alternating current (AC),

Direct current is generated with the help of solar panels and batteries. The latter is the most common generator of direct current. Batteries and solar panels on connection, provide electric power for household appliances. This entire process of electrical adjustment is extremely complicated but produces electrical power which can be use to power a microwave, a tube light, fan, washing machine or an oven.

Direct current is created by devices such as batteries and solar panels. When connected, an inverter allows these devices to provide electric power for small household devices. The inverter does this through a complex process of electrical adjustment. From this process, AC electric power is produced. This form of electricity can be used to power an electric light, a microwave oven, or some other electric machine. Nowadays it’s better to buy inverter online india than getting into the hassle of going to the shop and carrying it all the way home.

When you decrease the current, the inverter increases the voltage, thus making the inverter use small amount of current on the AC side, but a large amount on the DC side.

Types of inverters:

Inverters come in various different shapes and sizes. They can be as large as a million watts ( 1 megawatt) or can be as small as 160 watts. Most inverters that are different from each other  have different mechanisms regulating them. A list of a few examples are given below.

  1. A square wave inverter converts a DC signal to an AC signal. It involves changing a straight signal to a phase shifting one. The output thus achieved is a square wave which is not a pure AC wave. They are cheaper as well and its construction can be achieved with an on-off switch before it takes the shape of a transformer which has a voltage amplifying circuitry. In this mechanism, the current direction changes continuously.
  2. The next is a Quasi Sine wave inverter, also known as modified sine wave inverter. This inverter is on the more complex side than a square wave one when it comes to the design but it works more efficiently and is simple to operate. A modified sine wave inverter does not shift it’s phase randomly from positive to negative like a square wave inverter. It pauses slowly and then proceeds. Similarly it does not make a smooth transition, changing from positive to negative in one go like a sine wave inverter.
  3. A Pure Sine Wave Inverter has an electrical circuit that is more complex than the above mentioned categories. You can get a sine output from a square wave inverter by modifying the output.

Use this list to understand the different types of inverters available in the market and based on your needs and requirements choose the best inverter for home online and make sure you are satisfied with it.
